Air India Express India's first low-cost carrier (LCC) that operates on regional international routes. It provides direct point-to-point connections between major Indian cities and locations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It was founded in 2005 and has grown to become the largest LCC on the India-Gulf route, with a strong presence throughout the area. With nearly 700 flights every week, the airline connects 34 destinations in India and internationally.
CSR focus area projects/programs/activities are inspired by national developmental policies for the development of children, women, and the weaker sections of society, which are based on legislation on child rights, child development and education, the National Skill Development Mission, the Swachh Bharat Mission, and policies on community/rural development. They propose to focus our CSR activities on education, skill development, women empowerment, environment and community development, drinking water, sanitation, rural development/slum development, child care, natural resource conservation, promoting and developing art and culture, public libraries, promoting and developing traditional arts and handicrafts, sports, and health care.
